Here is a snippet of their story, which won the judges over, and resulted in them being selected as Round Two winners, for the Food & Drinks Package!

Carl & Danielle

“Danielle was a serious runner and had completed 2 full marathons and 2 half marathons and ran 2 -3 times per week. I wasn’t a runner at all but somehow in that 1st conversation managed to tell Danielle one truth and one big fat lie:

The truth being that I was signed up to do the Half Marathon and the big fat lie being that “yes I too was a serious runner and that I had previously ran the Boston Marathon”

Upon finding out Carl & Danielle had won Round Two they said;

‘Proposals are one thing; however, setting a date, finding a venue, planning the day and all the countless other things that go with it makes a wedding really challenging to organise. It was Danielle who got in touch with Bespoke Weddings and when she told me she had entered us into a competition to win an entire Wedding Package naturally I was a bit sceptical.

 

Nevertheless, Danielle went through with the process and to our surprise and complete delight we won round one with an opportunity to hire the beautiful Dovecliff Hall as the venue for our very special day. Ever the optimist Danielle was over the moon to give the old “I told you so line” and I have to say we were both genuinely thrilled.

 

The lovely people at Bespoke Weddings then entered us into round two and as a coupe we genuinely didn’t think we could win that as well. To be chosen as the 2nd round winners was a complete and utter surprise, but what made it more special was that it was our story of how we met that had swayed the judges vote in our favour.

 

The second round win probably means more to us than the first round win because when you meet someone for the first time you never ever know what the future may hold and we are proof that little bits of magic can happen and a story of love can resonate with other people who you’ve never even met.
