Reasons you should book a pre-wedding shoot with your wedding photographer
Choosing your wedding photographer is a very hard and important decision as this is someone who will spend 80% of your wedding day with you both.
Many of our suppliers offer a pre-wedding shoot as part of their packages or as an add on and here is some reasons I think you should do this:
1. Get comfortable in front of the lens
If you or your partner doesn’t feel comfortable in front of the camera, don’t worry! An engagement shoot is the perfect practice to feel a bit more at ease before the day.
Not only do you get the chance to work together before the big day, but you can also get a feel for it all – what do you like and dislike?
Do you like more direction with photos or perhaps just your photographer to snap away natural moments?
2. Meet your Photographer
Booking your wedding photographer is one of the hardest decisions when it comes to weddings.
Pre-wedding shoots gives you the freedom of meeting your photographer before deciding if you want them for your special day.
Otherwise, if you have already booked your photographer for your wedding, this is a great opportunity to get to know each other more and to tell them more about your story.

3. Save the dates or Wedding Invites
An engagement shoot is the perfect way to get some amazing shots of you both so why not put them to great use.
Your images make the perfect save the date cards, wedding invitations or even favours. And above all you get some beautiful pictures to frame around your house.
Its a no brainer!

4. Having fun and quality time
The lead up to your wedding can be extremely stressful leaving limited time to spend some quality time and fun with your partner.
A photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to soak it all in, spend some quiet time together focusing on one another and why you are here today.

5. Visiting a special place
There are many good places for your engagement shoot to take place. Some couples like to have this at their wedding venue in particular if its a stunning manor house or historic venue with lots of outdoor space.
However, others like to take a trip down memory lane and re-visit perhaps the home town they met or where they went on their first date.
The shoot gives a great ‘excuse’ to venture out to old places that hold a memory for you both that you may have not re-visited otherwise.
